Spring 2026 Men's Retreat - Preparation
Dear Brothers in Christ,
Greetings. I am thrilled that I have been invited to the privilege of sharing a revelation of the Lord Jesus at the men's spring gathering in Denton, scheduled for March 20-22. I hope you will be able to join us.
I thought I would give you a sense of the direction that is on my heart, and suggest several Scriptures that you may want to meditate on to prepare your hearts for our gathering.
Of course, as New Covenant Believers in the Lord Jesus, it is always our desire to know and manifest Him. The Life of the Lord Jesus in us enables us to manifest His Life through us to others. The progressive revelation of Jesus enables us to know and do His will. We must be ever careful not to focus on the will of God, but rather, on the God whose will it is. The more intimate our union with Him, the more the doing of His will becomes a by-product of that union.
In a word, our Bible sessions will deal foundationally with the topic of MINISTRY. We will examine the exciting revelation of how to perform the will of God. How to manifest Christ! We will look at the history of an Old Testament individual who finally discovered how, only by the manifestation of Chris, that it is it possible to minister to others.
I am referring to the life and history of Moses. Moses began by focusing on the will of God rather than the God whose will it is. God revealed His will to Moses early in his history. Moses had a great zeal to perform that will. He believed God had called him to do that will. Moses attempted to please God by doing His will, but, as the history shows, he failed miserably because he had not yet discovered that only God can do the will of God. Moses was trusting himself to do the will of God.
I am so glad that the Lord revealed Himself in the redemptive history of His people recorded in the Old Testament. This is New Covenant truth in story form. Of the many revelations of the Lord that Moses had in his life, there is one that stands out as special. In his dying testimony, he mentions that revelation seven times. God demonstrated this special Revelation of Christ three notable times in the spiritual history of Moses. I am referring to the revelation of Jesus as THE ROCK. It was through this revelation of Christ as the ROCK that Moses discovered the secret of doing the will of God. His focus changed. He was looking at last to the God whose will it is rather than to the will of God.
I have four opportunities to share the revelation of the Lord that He has given me.
Lesson # 1 I will share the background for the revelation of Christ as the Rock. This is the story of the Burning Bush. It is the summary message of what will be developed in the progressive revelations of Christ as the Rock. I suggest you prepare your heart by meditating on Exodus 3:1-6.
Lesson # 2 This is the story of THE SMITTEN ROCK. Jesus is revealed as the SOURCE OF LIVING WATER. I suggest that you prepare your heart by meditating on Exodus 17:1-7.
Lesson # 3 This the story of THE CLEFT ROCK. The chief revelation is that WE MUST ABIDE IN THE ROCK TO RECEIVE THE REVELATION OF THE LORD. I suggest that you prepare your heart by meditating on Exodus 33:19-23.
Lesson # 4 This is the story of THE LIVING ROCK. This is the clincher of it all. He manifests Himself through us. I suggest that you prepare your heart by meditating on Numbers 20:1-13.
Please be in believing prayer for our gathering. We long that He manifest Himself to us in a fresh way. Do know that the Lord delights in you. Rest! Abide! Worship!
In Union with Jesus,
Ed Miller
